Did you know that silk produced by the banana spider (Nephila clavipes) can be used to create artificial human epidermis (skin)?!

Nephila clavipes is also known as the golden orb-weaver or golden orb-web spider. It’s found in southeastern parts of the U.S., throughout Central America, and in parts of South America.
